I was the happiest woman on earth. My joy was my married life.

I have always found Tim to be that awesome groom that no lady should miss for life partnership.

That night, I was so exhausted. I had forgotten my serious preparations the previous night in anticipation for the great ceremony.

The same was with my darling husband, Tim. He was quite po0ped too but not up to mine seeing that his kind was very much simple, never prioritizing materialistic things so ardently.

The moment I entered the room that night, I blithely hurried to the bed to throw myself on it, ignoring Tim who was calling on me from the other side of the room. All that engrossed my mind was absolute rest and I just needed to have it.

I need to rest honey. That was what I could say and he uttered nothing again.

Soon, it was morning. To my greatest surprise too, I never knew when the day breaked because of my initial state last night.

Tim's mum was the one that slapped sleep out of my eyes when she had scolded me enough but all were to no avail.

That was really embarrassing to me. Infact, a sheer one that I couldn't have endured if not for Tim.

I was so ashamed of myself. I quickly awoke, still yawning like a cub yearning for his mum's breast milk.

My darling husband was quiet, and disappointed too.

However, he pretended that it wasn't my usual behavior infront of his irate mum.

Tim nwam, lee anya..! His mum shouted at him at once, holding her both ears.

I have always told you that this lady is not acceptable by me..

When Tim realized that his mum's words were going to cause me pains and tears, he hurriedly took her out and I was left alone in absolute chaos.

I couldn't even look at myself infront of the enormous standing mirror in our palatial room.

Not long after, my husband arrived very quickly and then I was shedding tears.

Quick baby! Get into the kitchen, you need to prove her wrong. I'll always love you for who you are.

You mean she's not angry?
I had to ask Tim and I guessed it irritated him. That wasn't the best time for gratuitous questions.

Abruptly, I went into the kitchen and prepared the breakfast.

Right from Adam, I have always not found it fascinating to relate with mothers in-law. That of Tim's mum was even the worst.

Oh goodness me, Chineke meeh!
Tim's mum suddenly screamed amidst the quiet atmosphere with her two hands on her head, acting so strangely as though she just ate poison.

Even though I hardly understood Igbo, yet it already dawned on me that she didn't like my meals.

Well in all, Tim tried his best to make me happy. It all continued until I was able to pass through his mum's test.

I found favour in her eyes.

My daughter, you're truly a virtuous woman. This was what she affirmed to my face the day she called me in the sitting room.

I have always wanted your kind for my son and I'm glad he succeeded.

Tears streamed down my face and with great joy, I hugged my mum in-law.

Tim soon joined us and all the whiles, I was busy crying.

It wouldn't have become possible if not because of my husband, prayers and my endurance too.

In addition, I also mitigated some of my flaws as a wife.

Infact, I give glory to God for blessing me with the best man ever.
