Mu.....my!!

I heard my daughter groaned.

Quickly, I never knew when I jacked up from my sleep and headed towards her room.

That was indeed unexplainable. As I moved, I behaved like one popular drunkard in our locality who always acts in an insane manner.

He once tried using his waec card to withdraw funds from the bank.

Well, when I got to my daughter's room with my sleepy eyes, I never knew how it left me abruptly.

I stood anxious, looking at how Rejoice fought and pushed herself, still in her sleep.

Without any hesitation, I grabbed her and continued calling on her name..
Wake up Rejoice, mum is here!
As I shouted, my little damsel broke into tears.

My fear was that she did all in her sleep.

I expected my husband to come. The words of my mouth soon became filled up with great rancour.

I left my daughter and stood at once, gesticulating with my hand as though I was running mad; honestly I really was!

I hurried into my husband's room, there he was snubbing like one of the fools.

With great anger, I slapped him right on his cheek. His spirit returned suddenly and he stood immediately, looking very bewildered.

Rejoice is acting strangely.
I announced and his sleep left him at once.

When we both arrived at my daughter's room, she was still acting strangely, even calling my name.

That was my pains. I wished I could help her out. She was only but a child! I never knew what she might be going through.

Finally, her eyes popped opened. My heart felt so much joy because she was back nonetheless.

Baby, what is that ?
I asked her, rocking her incessantly with tremendous love.

Mummy, I am afraid to sleep again. I do not want to miss it anymore.
She cried, even more bitterly.

Miss what my baby, you are here. Dad and mum are here too.
I told her with tears in my eyes.

Mummy, I am not happy. I feel so much pains in me. I want you by my side mummy..
She paused, now looking at her Dad also.

You too Dad.

At once, my husband clutched her hand and started calming her down.

My baby, be calm! It was only but a dream. Your mum and I are here with you. None is missing neither.

It looked as though we both sounded in some foreign lingos to my daughter. She wasn't satisfied at any moment.

Fortunately, we managed to bring rest to her weary soul. It was God's grace indeed.

Mum, Dad, I had a dream.
She began, still panting seriously as she looked steadily at us, with tears in her both eyes.

I was playing. You both were there in the sitting room when suddenly, a little strife broke out between you.
Your voices became so loud that I had to cry. At that moment, I heard a loud noise! It sounded like a heavy trumpet.

Then, my mind flashed to the scripture. I was sure it was the same with my husband.

When it happened, you both became quiet and hurried outside. When I came out too, I saw you crying and rolling on the ground. All I heard was it was the rapture! Everyone missed it... I too, as innocent as I was.

When she spoke those words, I bursted into great tears. My husband and I have been failing woefully regarding our responsibility to train our only daughter in the way of God.

In addition, we were so unconscious, thereby living life without enough preparation for the coming of the lord.

My daughter's dream was a wake up call. We had to calm her down yet the more.

There on her bed, we wept sore, dedicated our lives to Christ and offered her Salvation.

It remained fresh in us that Jesus will come some day to rapture his saints.

Even if he didn't do it that soon, no one is immortal; hence the need to be at peace with him all the time, so that even when death comes, one will forever be with him.

_“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour, that the son of man will come._

Matthew 25:13
