Monalisa Ayodeji, I am a Nigerian girl from Surulere
Lagos….that is to say I am a Yoruba girl by tribe I live in
georgia USA, you will be wondering why I live here
now let me tell you. I lost my parents years ago in a
plane crash when they were on their way to Nigeria,
we lived in Georgia for the most part of our lives But
everything changed the day I lost my parents. My
wicked uncle hijacked his properties because I am a
female child. You know african mentality right?. Since
then my life became a mess, my wicked uncle tried to
have s-x with me but I turned him down because of
that he sent me packing out of the house my dad built
in Georgia. I become homeless and started roaming on
the street. But despite that, I don’t take sh*t from
anybody. I am bold and fearless. I engaged in petty
business and gather little dollars to rent a very local
room. I stop schooling. But now grace shine on me I got
an admission in ROYAL HIGH COLLEGE, one of the best
and expensive college in Georgia. Don’t panic on how a
poor girl like me afford to gain admission in the college.
I saved money I got from the little job I do. I work in a
restaurant. I saved 200 (N84000 in Nigerian currency.)

Tomorrow I am going to start schooling. You don’t know
how happy I am right now. MONDAY, MORNING** “Cle,
Cle ” The alarm beep waking me up from my sleep. I
checked the time it was just 6am.. I rolled the duvet off
my body and slip in my slippers. I rushed to the
bathroom and had a cool morning shower.. I came out
and dried myself, rubbed my cream and took out my
uniform. I wore it and pack my hair in a ponytail. After
twenty minutes I was done. I took my bag and went
out without taking breakfast. I remembered when
mum used to disturb me to everyday to take breakfast,
thinking of her made tears roll down my eyes. I quickly
clean it and walked out of my small apartment. I hailed

downstairs, walking so spacious and energetic, even his

the dinning table eating already, he walked towards
the dinning table and pulled out a chair and sat down ”
Big sis morning ” He said, taking a fork. ” Kid bro, How
are you ?” She replied, eating, without sparing him a
glance ” I am good ” He said ” You’re looking cute ” She
said ” I am always handsome ” He replied proudly ”

” When is dad and mom coming back ? ” He asked ”

started eating ” When will you show me your girlfriend?
you’re so weird bro” She said and he choke on the food
” Girlfriend? ” ” Yes, I haven’t seen any girl close to you
since you broke up with Sydney ” She said and he
stood up immediately ” Did I said anything wrong ? I’m
sorry ” She asked ” Nothing ” He said and rushed out.
She has just succeeded in spoiling his good mood this
morning, he got in his car and drove out. ROYAL
HIGH** ?Monalisa’s POV I paid the cab man and went
inside the school. Omo, the school is more spacious
than the last time I came here for admission. The
flowers were arranged in a rod-like form. Water were
flowing from a bole- hole like made, this school is
meant for the rich and not the poor. I saw students
driving in with theirs expensive cars in the school and
parking in the school parking lot, some opening the
doors themselves or their drivers opening it for them.
They were all from wealthy families by mere looking
you don’t need baba lawo to tell you they are rich
people children. I stood there watching the wealthy
students doing their thing…. I went to the principal’s
office to complete my bills after the payment my
student ID Was given to me… When I came out of the
principal’s office I saw students moving to a certain
classroom. I became confused, luckily I saw a pretty girl
of my same age passing so I called out to her, she look
somehow friendly and not arrogant. “Hi ” I said softly.
“Hi ” She replied with a smile ” Ugh! I’m confused, why
are all the students heading to that room?” I asked
pointing to the direction “Are you a newbie?” She
asked. ” I don’t understand you please ” I replied with a
raised brow. ” I mean, Are you new here?”She asked.
“Oh! Yes I am a new student, just resume today ” I
smiled “That is the school hall ” She said. “Oh! Thank
you very much” I said. “You are welcome, Kyle”She
said, gesturing “Monalisa ” I replied and shook hands
with her “Nice meeting you Lisa. Can we be friends ?
She asked, expecting my response “Yes ” I replied
“Then let’s go before we will be late ” She said and
starting walking towards the hall while I follow her.
Can’t f*cking believe I got a friend on my first day here.
I was looking at a very pretty art on the wall when
someone bump into me or should I say I bumped into
someone…. I raised up my head to behold a very
handsome guy. A demi-god, why did he have to be this
handsome, curly hair, deep blue ocean eyes and pink
lips every girl will wish to kiss, I was drooling hard
when he said something that jolt me out of my
thoughts. “Will you say sorry or rather keep looking at
me? I know I am handsome, but can you stop staring”
He asked in the sweetest voice that make my heart
race. I sw*llowed nothing before saying a word. “Are
you okay, you bump into me and you still expect a
sorry from? Ugly rude boy” I said rudely, immediately I
said that kyle gasped. Did I say something bad? He
can’t expect me to possibly say sorry to him, I don’t fear
rich people especially rich spoilt brats like him “Huh, you
are asking me that? ” He asked frowning with a harsh
tone but somehow my heart began to raced again, but
I quickly control myself not to make it obvious ” You
are the one to say sorry because you are the one that
bump into me ” I replied boldly starring at his
handsome face The students were looking at me like I
just descended from heaven So yuck!!!! He just smile
and nod his head still looking at me. “You must be
crazy and stupid… You bump into me and still need a
sorry from me huh?,, I guess she is a newbie? Black
newbie ” He said mockingly ” I guessed she is ” One of
the guy with him said ” She is a new student ” Kyle
said with a respectful tone. Why is she like that? Who
is he that she is afraid to look him in the face and why
is she scared when she chipped in, such a coward
pretty girl ” You said what? ” I asked glaringly “I said
black newbie, want me to repeat again ” He replied
sternly The word “black newbie” sting me so bad, I
know I am black but I don’t need any f*cking person to
remind me of that sh*t “Black newbie huh?….Let me
show you want black people can do, how crazy they
can be ” I said and move closer to him,, kyle eyes
