The story of a man and his three children may throw some light on the concept of prayer that is the focus of our meditation today. The older son delayed to table his need until his generous dad gave it to a neighbour's child who came pleading on his knees for the same thing. The younger son lost a gift that was hid in a heap of clothes to another person for lack of thorough search. The only daughter stood aloof at the door until a stranger banged the door heavily.she went away with the girl's desire from he dad too.
