Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.

17. “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

18. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 5:17-19)

But why does Paul in Ephesians 2:15 say the law has been abolished because of Jesus on the cross?

By abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, (Ephesians 2:15)

But in another letter of Paul, he said that he did not abolish the law but upholding it.

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. (Romans 3:31)

So which one is right? While Paul's theology is still unstable, it is not consistent with his statements.
