COMBINATIONS
OF FUNCTIONS.

SUM OF FUNCTIONS

suppose f and g are two functions.the sum of these function is a function which's defined as f+g,
where(f+g)(x) = f(x)+g(x)
Ex1.
if f(x) = 2 - x and
g(x) = 3x + 2 then the sum of these functions is given by:
(f+g)(x)=(2 - x)+(3x + 2)
(collecting liketerms)
=2x + 4....

DIFFERENCE OF FUNCTIONS

suppose f and g are two functions, the difference of these functions is also a function, defined as:
f - g,where
(f-g)(x) = f(x) - g(x).
Ex2.
if f(x) = 3x+2 & g(x)=x-4
then the difference of these functions is:
(f-g)(x) = (3x+2) - (x-4)
(collecting liketerms)
=2x - 6..

i'd created this site to gives you some mathematic tips,if you've any questions you're welcomecongrats.gif
