With the increasing competition in the telecom sector, operators have been introducing new plans with better benefits. Recently, Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular removed the top-up plans that offered talktime, and introduced smart recharges. Now, Bharti Airtel has introduced five new FRCs (first recharge) prepaid plans priced between Rs 178 and Rs 559, offering a minimum validity of 28 days and maximum validity of 90 days. These plans also include up to 1.4GB daily data. As reported by TelecomTalk, with these new plans, Airtel is aiming new customers. Here s a look at the plans and the benefits they offer.

Airtel Rs 178 FRC prepaid plan
The Rs 178 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days and benefits include unlimited local and STD calls, along with unlimited roaming. The plan also includes 100 free local and national SMS daily. In terms of data benefits, users get 1GB 3G / 4G data daily. A similar plan is also available for existing users, and it is priced at Rs 149, but it is a segmented offer applicable only to a select few users.

Airtel Rs 229 FRC prepaid plan
This plan offers the same benefits as the Rs 178 plan, including 28 days validity, unlimited local and national calling and unlimited roaming along with 100 free SMS daily. However, the data benefit is slightly higher at 1.4GB daily. For existing users, there is a similar plan priced at Rs 199.

Airtel Rs 344 FRC prepaid plan
Once again, this plan offers similar benefits as the Rs 178 and Rs 229 plans, with unlimited local and national calls, unlimited roaming and 100 free SMS daily. The plan also comes with 28 days validity, but the data benefit is even higher at 2GB per day.

Airtel Rs 495 and Rs 559 FRC prepaid plans
Lastly, the Rs 495 and Rs 559 plan offer similar benefit with the only difference being their validity. Both offer 1.4GB daily 3G / 4G data, unlimited local and national calls, unlimited roaming and 100 free SMS daily. The Rs 495 plan comes with a validity of 84 days, whereas the Rs 559 plan comes with a validity of 90 days.

Do note, the above plans being FRCs, they can only be availed at the time of buying a new SIM, or for users who are porting from a different operator. One can even get these plans from Airtel website or from My Airtel app.
